I am a total newbie.
I just got an ASM G1X and would like to know if it matters how deep the water in the sump is, mine is about 12" or so deep.

Sorry this thread has gone so long without an answer. I just moved it to the equipment forum. Were you able to get your skimmer set-up and working?

I have a Euroreef that I have sitting on an eggcrate table so it stays at the appropriate depth (my sump is deep).

Wow it has been awhile...
Yes, I have it set up and running in about 7 to 8 inches of water.

i knwo it's working great but have you mesh mod it? or any other mods?
