So i think they are astrea snail eggs on my glass. I would like to try and raise them. Think it would be cool. Is there a way to get them to hatch. Will others eat them.

Most likely they will vanish into the aquarium due to the flow. Either that or your fish, hermits or others will eat them. I've had this happen to all the snail eggs that I get thus far.

I'm going to have to agree with spllbnd2 on that most if not all of them will end up being a snack for someone else.

If they do end up making it past hungry mouths, then you have your pumps that are eating up the rest.

If they look like white tear drops on your glass, they might just be tiny tube worms forming on your glass, as this has been my experience if I go a weekend without scraping them.

My cerith snails lay eggs on a regular basis and i've found a few small baby ones on my live rock which i assume came from the eggs but there havent been very many that made it. Most I assume end up being eatin or in the pumps as mentioned before.

I've had cerith snails laying eggs quite regularly and even in my tank that is fishless and crabless they don't seem to survive. These are the cerith eggs that I keep trying to get to hatch and raise. I've had my Carribean ceriths lay eggs in 3 of my tanks thus far in the past 2 weeks.

I started my new tank last October and then added a CUC with quite a few snails of various kinds. As of now, I can probably spot over 100 baby snails of various size throughout the tank. In the overflow area (pic below, not all the white dots are snails, but many are) is maybe where they originate, as there are smaller baby snails visible in pretty high numbers. In the display, larger baby snails are all over the place, ranging in size from 2mm & up.

I never see any eggs on the glass, unless it's in the overflow, but nonetheless I have baby snails everywhere.
