I bought 20 astreas for my 29 a few weeks ago. They did a great job with the over abundance of algae that WAS in my tank and now I'm worried that I have too many snails and not enough algae. I'm worried I'm going to have to supplement the diet of my clean up crew with some nori. With 1 fish and not nearly enough LR (got some? I'm in the market for another 20 lbs) I can't imagine there is enough nutrient in the water for algae to grow much. Plus, I've been doing 2x a week water changes to try to get rid of my VERY SSB, I didn't like it. Basically, if I've got double the snails I need, I'll be giving 'em away, but would like somebody to confirm that yes, in fact, I have too many snails.

Thx

You do. They will slowly starve without supplementation. If your water quality is resolved, and the algae is gone, 2 - 5 astreas would be plenty.

Good luck!
