I have been setting up a new 57 gallon rimless tank. I was planning on the new TEK Elite T5 set up but decided I did not want to wait so I went with the ATI Sunpower instead. I have never had hanging lights before and wanted a way to easily raise and lower them. After thinking about it a bit I decided to find an electric actuator to do the job for me.

I just installed this actuator in my attic to raise and lower them by remote control! Works really well. Tell me what you think.

Brilliant!. What if you set it up to raise and lower with a timer? That way you could simulate the fluctuations in light intensity. Just like mother nature!

Wow...Wow and Wow....i want that tooo..That is an amazing idea..I do have an attic..But not a creative bone in my body...Who would one hire to hook me up????

This is kick ass! How much weight can an actuator like that lift?

The one I have will lift 400 LBS so I think I am a little under the weight limit with my HUGE light:D lol.

I really was not hard to hook up. I ran a plug in outlet to the are and braced it up plumb and level. As long as you get everything lined up It will work like a charm. Glad you guys like.
