I have double switch sump mount system from autotopoff.com. Last night it stopped suppling power to the pump that fills the sump. I tried the pump on it's own so it's still good. I have had this less then 2 years and i can't seem to get a response from the web site. Does anyone know how these things are put together? I know it can't be that hard to fix!:)

Thanks in advance.............

Switching system is done by a 15 Amp relay, allowing you to use a device rated up to 1800 watts.

This is what they use for the relay, fine you one similar at mouser.com get a solid state relay & it should last you longer. First open up the box & take a few pics of the relay & wiring, off the relay body you should be able to find out what type it is.

You can get the relay at radio shack. The voltage and specs will be on the relay housing. They are sometimes called "icecube" relays because they have a clear housing around the inner workings.

I agree with Scooterman that radio shack sells crap, BUT, in a pinch it would get a person thru a holiday weekend. For business and aquarium I use www.omron.com brand. They are more expensive than mouser but I get them free thru my company. They have alot of other things as well.
