I keep putting my new crocea perched on a rock and within a couple hours it expels waste and knocks itself off the rock. What is a good way to hold it there until it attaches. The rock I want it on is too big to move around so that I can confine him. How have you all done it? I forgot how I did my others.

The way I did my giant gigas, was to kinda wedge him in the rocks, but you got to make sure that he can open as far as he wants or he'll be a mad clam :) My gigas is doing so well, hes grown a few mm of new calcium line from when I got him at the vendor psas meeting not too long ago. What lighting do you keep the crocea under?

Lots of light. 1 250w 6500 and 2 400W xm 10k. My other crocea loves the lights. The mantles stick out a mile at least.

That is a lot of light :) and very high PAR.

I agree with the clam halfshell idea. I have all my clams in a clam halfshell. This way when it's time to check for pyramid's it is no big deal and I can replace them exactly back where they were.
