I have had a small Alveopora frag for about 6 months and recently it has stared to decline (not extending). I know they are not known for their hardiness but I did just add some pulsing Xenia. I would realy like your input on whether you think the xenia is the cause or some other tank parameter.
I realy like the xenia but I don't want to keep it if it going to cause problems with other lps/sps later.

The only other corals I have right now are a hammer and a trumpet both doing well. The only other thing that I have changed recently is I changed my 250w halides from a 10k to 14k.

I have also been feeding it regularly with either a mush of invert food which it usually responds well to.

Thanks for the help
Dennis

I doubt it is the xenia. Unfortunately that is about the norm for these corals.

They are very sensitive to flow and light. Have you icreased the flow? One thing with the alvepora when they go they go fast.

I have had two different ones and both just closed up and died. One all at once and one that had several branches that died one branch at a time.
