hey all

I am just wondering about whta i should do with the back side of my tank. I had a reef backing before but I see that lots of people have them painted light or royal blue. I am just wondering if this is better then something else or if it was just dont to save time and money.

Please let me know if anyone has any info

thanks

I think the background sheets are tacky and I always had trouble keeping them taped to the tank. Also A solid color like blue seems to bring out the colors in your tank. That's why when they show Koi they put them in a blue bucket.

A solid color, either blue or black, makes a good backdrop for your fish and corals. Paint seems better than a sheet because it doesn't fall off, and you don't have to worry about drips getting between the sheet and the glass. It might be a little cheaper, but that wasn't really a deciding factor for me.

thats what I was hoping to hear I am just wondering if there is a better blue then another or are they all the same?

I always used a piece of acrylic. I like the look alot better placed on the inside of the tank, but some people don't like to go through the trouble. Blue and black seem to be most popular:)

Hmmm... I forget the exact color I used. I'll look to see if I have the can still when I get home tonight. Generally, the darker the blue the better. Black is also nice, and you don't have to worry about which shade. ;)
