Anyone know if a bacterial bloom (say one associated with carbon dosing) suppresses or in any way makes it 'harder' for nitrifying bacteria to develop?
I setup a small coral QT this weekend, and it pretty quickly showed a slight bacterial bloom. Nothing huge, but enough to notice. Guessing I didn't rinse the power heads well enough after the vinegar bath and that is what is fueling it, but its just a guess.
