A warm welcome to Barrier Reef Aquariums. Thanks for joining Reef Frontiers and being a part of our wonderful community. Let me know if there is anything we can do for you.

Welcome!!!

Thank you. We're glad to finally be here!

Thank you for the warm welcome. Here's a little info about who we are and what we do.

Barrier Reef Aquariums is a partnership between myself (Cy Forell) and Tim Cole. We are an aquarium sales, service, and consulting business. We operate in the Seattle/Greater Eastside area in Washington State. In the very near future our website will launch with more information and online coral frag sales. We have both been designing custom saltwater systems and providing aquarium maintenance since 1996. I have been in the aquarium profession since 1990 and Tim started 5 years later. We realize that most of the users here at Reef Frontiers are serious hobbyists and are less likely to use a servicing company but should any of you need help getting going, think a break from the maintenance routine sounds nice, or know someone who wants to get started in this hobby and could use assistance, please contact us.

Watch for our website banner coming soon!

Here's some photos of our latest Fish Only project.

Hi all-
I wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcome. We are very excited to be a sponsor of Reef Frontiers. Our website is nearing completion and we hope to have a batch of coral frags ready for sale by the end of May. Please stay tuned to our forum for updates and pictures of available stock. Here are a few pictures of some of our work and mother colonies of future frags.
Thanks-
Tim Cole

Thanks Krish. I haven't checked your "new lights" thread in a few days now. Hope you have that temp issue under control

:) Thanks...Not quite yet, but I know what has to be done so it's decision time! I've already removed the back off of my stand, added 6 fans (5 in the canopy and 1 almost in my sump:p), cut 5 holes in my canopy for vents, ripped out my entire closed loop, and come to find out, my thermostat for our downstairs central air is off! The room is set to 75F, but the actual room's temp was 81F! No wonder I have to keep turning it down lower when I'm down there! So basically I've been beating a "dead horse", but not for too much longer. Thanks for asking:)

Keep after it. Once you get it controlled, with the lighting set up you've got, you might make your local reefs jealous...j/k.

LOL...Thanks! I just ordered a chiller about 15mins ago so we'll see:)

So you're sleeping on the couch then LOL

ROFL:lol: Nope...I just made arrangements to have a new generator installed with an automatic switch in our place that my wife wanted that costes WAY more than everything I have hooked up to my tank so I'm good:p

glad you guys are finally "around" and going to be selling soon!
love the layout for the website, it's going to look awesome! very professional looking!
and glad to finally see you on the boards tim!! took you long enough!!:)
