Basement Sump?

I was considering putting my Lifereef CLF1 sump in my basement, directly beneath my 58 gallon tank. The return from the Lifereef system uses a MagDrive 7. Since I would have an additional 7+ feet of hose if the sump were in the basement, would I need a more powerful pump?

Check the pump curve for a Mag 7- I suspect that it can't lift water that high under any conditions.

Get a Sequence pump- You need something that can lift water well, a Mag anything won't do it.
