Battle of LED's-DIY vs Mass produced

I had done a DIY for my 75g and that worked really well, now that I am upgrading to a 600g tank, I dont want to tap that many holes, or run that many little wires. There comes a time when I have to ask myself how much is my time worth and spending a few weeks playing with leds, and getting cramps in my fingers isnt worth it.

by the time if you see a used post for led, would you buy the DYI ones? I would buy the mass produced one over the homemade kind.
