I am so sorry SkimHeavy,

I try to acknowledge all who posts on any thread I start.
I even remember rolling over the costs and equipment needed in my head about your suggestion. Which BTW is a solid project to do in a Workshop.

I think this will be an alternative to the lens tube we are working on.
Might be able to offer them both in the same workshop.

i had the same question. i've heard the 'great stuff' pond stuff floats, but i've never seen anyone who actually used it say that, just people commenting on threads but not the thread starter..

I have used it, as many have. Be sure to buy Beckett Black Pond Foam it is reef safe.. Do NOT use Great Stuff

Been looking for some ideas on simple stand ideas for larger tanks.
I seem to need to build boxes that rely on the plywood for strength. I know some who is going to need a open looking stand.
