Hello everyone. I havent been posting in a while. Thats mostly because I am not very happy with my tank situation at the moment. While I was away at school my tanks sort of went over the point of no return while in my parents care. I had some problems with bulbs breaking, filters taken off, protein skimmer not working, no regluar top off, over feeding, etc. Now I have an aiptasia nightmare (among other things.) Im looking to get some berghia nudibranches to help control my problem. I have so much aiptasia, Im sure that in no time I will be able to breed and sell these guys. I had heard that there was someone in the area the was breeding them. Anyone happen to know who it is?

I really want to get this taken care of and my tank looking nice again before school starts and I move my tank to Ellensburg.
Thanks

I have had great success with these in the past. They take a long time to work but they work well. Just make sure you cover up your intakes so they don't get sucked in.
I ordered from these people with no problems, but you have to check their site often as they are often out of stock. Follow their recommendations on how many per gallon and be patient as you may think they have disappeared for the first few weeks. As the aptasia population dwindles down you'll start to see them out in the day hunting. If I had the time I'd set up an aptasia tank and breed these as they work great.

Only buy adults as the juveniles are extremly small! I believe the above site only sells adults, but inland aquatics sells juveniles (not 100% sure of this)

Hi Rachel. Peppermint shrimp, (Lysmata wurdemanni), will and should take care of aptasia, as well. I would maybe try those first as they are not prone to getting sucked into powerheads/intakes as the berghia's are. They are of course, cheaper as well.
