Best method for killing LR.

I'm picking up 100lbs of base rock from a local reefer today, its been dried for a while now, but I still want to ensure that it is absolutely dead and pest free before I introduce it to my system. Is a vinegar bath or time in the oven an option?

I don't know how long its been sitting out of her tank, but I'm sure its been a couple weeks at least. Ill have a more accurate time stamp later this evening, but for now...just wanted to hear some thoughts/tips on methods for killing rock.

I believe the answer is boil, bleach, vinegar, rodi, cure.

found out its been siting out for 2 weeks in the sun. I probably will have it sitting for another 2 weeks. Gonna see about boiling it...just a matter of finding something that will hold a large amount of rocks...or at least 10-20 lbs at a time over the stove.

Crab pot ot turkey frying pot....whatever you want to call it.

I agree...boil it. 45 seconds of boiling water will kill just about anything.

BOIL IT OUTSIDE! You never know what was on or in that rock and no one should breath it!
