Hello,I've had these 2 hermit crabs for about 2 years. There using huge turboe
snail shells. Should I be worried and get rid of them? Or leave them in? My tank
is a bc29. Thanks

I think that 2 years of experience with these guys makes you an expert on them. You should be advising us how to take care of them rather than asking. :)

Have you had a problem with them? If you haven't had any unexplained losses or seen them attacking other critters they should be fairly safe.

Alright cool! I haven't seen them doing any naughty stuff. The only thing they kill are the turbo snails I buy =( circle of life I guess. Thanks for the reply

I will agree with Leslie, not only because she's the pro, but also because you've had them for so long.

I'd say if they are not causing issues for you other than doing what hermit crabs do (eat snails) I'd leave them be. Just as a suggestion, may I recommend you feed your hermits a silver side here and there or give them their own chunk of Nori to munch on. That might cut down on their urge to snack on your snails. Unless of course they just have to have some escargo every now and again :eek::D:)

I never met a hermit I didn't like, These guys are about 12 years old
