RedEyeReef,

You sure can! The only drawback is that you might not be eligible for the free Coral Frags. Last night I knocked out 18 nice SPS frags. We will have a selection of soft corals as well.

You can also send a check by snail mail if you like.

Rick

Thanks Rick, What time and where does the tank tour start? I am going to try and drive down from CDA that morning, about 3 hour drive.

Yes, we will have holding tanks setup for the frags and the large hand picked corals that will be auctioned off.

Currently we will have at least one box (est 15 - 20) of large coral colonies. If the ticket sales are high enough I will get two boxes of these choice corals.

I am going to try and get a bunch of styros from the local fish stores that people can have if they want.

Its great to be back. I see that people have been busting their ass to make this Meeting a success. The need for people to display these flyers in abundant. I am still unloading from my 11 state adventure. You know you love this hobby when you see a friend passing you 75 plus miles an hour on a Interstate going the opposite direction in Wyoming. The 300 Reef license was a breath of fresh air. I could not resist the chance to say hello. I think God puts people in places to remind you of how good life is at times. The offer of meeting at IHOP was very appealing to me. The offer might not of been that appealing to the other family members with me. I welcome the Chance if given it again.

The emails from club talk are abundant. The people that want to make this happen are putting their heart into this. A special thanks to those putting up flyers, talking to others, offerings to make this one Meeting a success.

As Charlie said to me yesterday, Are you ready for 3 weeks? IN MY MIND, I want it now. IN MY HEART, It is open wanting to learn, share, and experience the laughter of what this hobby brings. The people in Tri-cities want to welcome anyone that wants to share a smile. Reef Frontiers has given the ability to do this. Anyone that has taken time to make this a success thank you. Ok, that was cheap. I do not want to leave anyone out. Ok, how is this? My Heart will be into doing what I can for anyone that wants this trip to be a success. The ability to learn is abundant. The chance for people to get together happens not enough. You know people are excited by the smiles down here. I hear 3 weeks! I could only smile and think "YEAH don't ya love it?"

I have a few questions about this great sounding event. Do you have to be a member to attend. I have seen mention of kids, are they permitted or is it best to leave them at home. Are there still motel rooms left. And aprox. how long would it take to get to the location from Spokane?
This sounds like a great oppertunity and i would really love to attend. Thanks for your time

You do not have to be a member to attend, this is intended for anyone and their family who has an interest in Saltwater / Reef aquariums. There will be a swimming pool and playground available at the Clipper Ridge Clubhouse. Yes there still are motel rooms available. It takes approximately 2 - 2.5 hrs from Spokane. I believe several people from the Spokane club are planning to attend, you may be able to caravan with them. Contact Bret @ Barr Aquatics, (link from this page) http://www.midcolumbiasaltwater.com/PNWMAC.htm

I hope you can make it.

Knowledgeseeker,
The first 35 tickets have not been sold online yet. Well that was what I heard from Saturdays Meeting here in the Tri-Cities. That means you still have a chance to get in on the free frags from Mid-Columbia Saltwater Club. Rico has some awesome SPS frags. Rico has the green bali slimer(Yongei), Teal acros, Tables, tri-colors, etc. They are usually quite large. Yellotang has some awesome Soft corals he will be fragging. We are putting our best foot forward to make people comfortable and leave with a good taste in their mouth. You know like Mama's cooking, you always want to come back! Sorry, I just got back from Vacation in Illinois. The farm boy is coming out.
Hope to see you There!

Ed, My wife and I decided to come. I did have another question. During the times of the keyspeakers, will the club house be open to my family member that would not be able to attend that portion. I have a 7 and 2 year old that would probably not enjoy that part, and my wife said she could hang out at the pool with them while I attended if that was possible.
Is there a number for me to call so i can talk to someone to get rest of the details.

And on the sps frags for the first 35 people. I am in the middle of cycling my 16 gallon nano which only has 2x13 watt pc's. so i cant put any sps in. And cant set up my larger tank for another 6-8 months. So i think that if i am under the 35 i should pass my sps onto some one that could actually care for it. Thank you so much for your time and info on this matter. I cant wait to come down. My wife and I are excited to be able to see all the great tanks down there.

If i do get one of the sps then maybe some one could give me an IOU for a softy till my tank cycles and is ready for residents. But i suppose i wont know till I talk to someone bout tickets. Thanks Charlie, that was a good idea

Do you life close to Spokane Charlie? I dont think my tank will be cycled by that weekend so i could not take anything home fromt he confernce to put in it. I would have to wait a little while after that.

I live in Columbia Falls Mt. I usually make it over to Kevin's shop about once a month. I am also headed over to Tri-Cities, so maybe we are gonna meet up that weekend. How long has your tank been set up, Because it is still darn near 3 weeks to the meeting. This finger leather is pretty hardy. I can tell that, because I haven't killed it in the 4 years I've had it!!!!!!!

I hear a lot of positive feed back for going to Big Meeting. The question I have is do people feel comfortable with going through Paypal for tickets? I will going to Lynnwood this weekend to help Sister in Law move. If it is ok with President and Vice President of Club here in Tri-Cities I could bring tickets up to Seattle for those that want them. How does that sound to anyone from Seattle. I will be leaving Saturday morning. We also have a member going to Spokane this Friday. If you feel comfortable with purchasing a ticket hand to hand please let me know ASAP.

Ed, if you have a member coming to Spokane I would for sure by from them on friday. Just let me know the time and location so I can meet them, it was $20 right. I had a couple other questions. Is the a number where i can contact and speak to someone. Thanks for your help.

Charlie, I put water in my tank last thrusday, so it has been 6 days today. Do you think it will be ready by then. Do you have any Zoanthus Pulchellus(it is the first pic on the soft corals id page) or Xenia, Or cool muschrooms.
I am getting my tickets this friday so i'm not sure if i will get a sps, but if i do i'll be more then happy to trade you if my water will be ready.

Knowledgeseeker,

There is contact info on the web page http://www.midcolumbiasaltwater.com/PNWMAC.htm

As for your question on the use of the club house while the presentations are going on. That will probably be ok, I am the one responsible for the clubhouse and will very likely either be there or have someone there because we have to setup stuff for the auction and bbq etc.

Rick

Hey Charlie, i just talked to Rick and he said they are going to have some softies i can choose from since i dont have a spot for the sps. So I think i'm going to do that. Thanks for trying to help me out, i really appreciate it. :)
