I wanted to let some of you know that I heard your question about what can my wife and kids do while I am listening to a Expert Lecture. I talked to my wife. We have shopping at the Mall at Columbia Center. We have Movie Theaters. We have some very nice parks along the River. Some ideas were to go out for Ice Cream, Movie, Bowling, Skating Rink in Richland, Ice Skating in Kennewick, visit Apple orchards, visit the Dams and see the fish ladders. My wife has Jet ski ready to go for Columbia River. There are River Boat Cruises in Richland. There are some nice parks in Richland. The Columbia Park has the Field of Dreams play area for kids. I want you to know I have not forgot this and still want to help to make this a fun trip for everyone. Please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to make this a fun trip. I like the River Boat Cruise in Richland. The Cruise takes you down the Columbia River from Richland to Kennewick and Back. I will contact them to see if there is a discount for group rates.

Thanks again,
Ed Hahn

Knowledgeseeker,
I spoke with Kevin at Aquatic Dreams yesterday. Kevin can be reached at his shop @ 509-228-9954 ( I think I could give this number backwards). Kevin readily volunteered to sell tickets for this event. A member from Mid-Columbia Saltwater will take tickets up to Kevin Friday. He will have ten tickets for sale. Anyone that buys a ticket will need to fill out information so you can be contacted for raffle if you
win. Unless you do not want to win anything. I think everyone wants a little something to remember this Meeting.

For the Seattle Area Folks. I am going to Lynnwood Saturday. If I can get someone that wants to help out with tickets there it would sure be cool.

Thanks in Advance,
Ed Hahn

Well what do you know I have been in this area fro three months and have been asking the LFS if there anything like this and no one knew. So tonight I decide to try and find one on line and I come up to this. This is great unfortunately I work weekends. I will see if I can take a day off because this seems like it is going to be a great thing to see. This site is definitely going in my favorites. I live here in Richland.

Hey thanks for the PM!!!! I am really excited about the possibilities now. I hope to meet everyone (and their tanks) soon.

Angelscrx,
I pmed you with my number. I will walk you through anything you let me about the group meeting here in Tri-cities.
Again Welcome aboard (looking to insert smile here)
The group(Midcolubia Saltwater Club in Tri-Cities) is rounding up styrofoam boxes for people to take frags home from Big Meeting, I also recieved some brand (Geesh, Big Bunch) new bio balls someone donated to be sold at Big Meeting at what ever someone offers. Someone brought some power heads over to help out if needed to acclimate frags that are going to be shipped in. We will use established water connected to a large aquarium that has been set up for over 5 years and circulate water through with lighting in a storage tank and recirculate it into established system. I am still delivering flyers and talking to people alot about the Big Meeting. Thats the latest news that I know of about Tri-city Club Angelscrx.

again look forward to meeting you in person,
Ed

Welcome to Reef Frontiers, Anglescrx!

I hope to see you at the meeting; it's going to be a great time! :)

Thanks for all the info. Does anyone come to people's homes and give advice or opinions on tanks. I have questions and wish someone could come over and shed some light on my newbieness. Thanks

Angelcrx,
Most of the club members in the Tri-cities love to share oppinions. The club meetings are usually at someones house each month. I gave a can of Balls pickeling lime to a hopefully a new member in Richland last week. That person had relocated from Seattle area. Here is my two cents, get a pound in a half of rock for each gallon of water your tank is. Make sure your hydrometer is working correctly. I have the club refractor if you want to check it. Try to maintain your salinity around 1.025. Try not to have any dead spots in your tank(even flow through out tank) Do your best to stabilize temp. Do not over feed. Adding live rock you will usually have algae bloom from changing environments rock was previously in. Take your time adding animals. You need at least 8 weeks for your water to stablize. Your tank is like a marathon runner. It needs time to adjust to additions. Buy only a few fish to cycle tank. Do not over due it by buying expensive fish until tank has matured. Lots of people will just run their rock for 8 weeks. Then add fish slowly. What type of filtration are you using? Feel free to pm me. I will give you my phone number.

Thanks Ed, by the way everyone my name is Angel and you can call me that instead of angelscrx. :) I am really looking forward to the meeting. Thanks again.

Pleasure was mine Angel. Welcome aboard again. I can only tell you my oppinion what has worked for me. I usually run my mouth too much but my heart is in the right place most the time.

Good luck,
Ed

Kalkawaser mix..to maintain the calcium levels. It is dripped at night. I can explain more in person.

Another Activity that people can do in the Tri-Cities. Kennewick has a indoor Go Cart Track right off of Clearwater. If you want to race Go Carts. You wanna race Big Dog?
