Are there any special things that this species needs to survive in my tank?

There are so many common names out there and a few do overlap. Are you referring to Parapterois heterura? If so, they should be cared for, like most other Dwarf Lionfish. Don't short-change their space. Give them at least a 50 gallon tank, preferably one that is over 60.

Yes we do have the parapterois heterura they are gorgeous. Almost like a mix between a fu manchu and a fuzzy dwarf
