Does anyone have an idea has to how much dry good will be marked down?
I still need lots of odd and ends for my tank, but Blue Sierra is a little over a half hour each way for me. Is it going to be worth the drive? I?m all for supporting our local shops, but am I going to be disappointed driving all the way and missing the Pike brewery meet up. Please don't get offended I am posing this question seriously. The livestock deals sound great, but as I don't have a cycled tank to put them in yet I can only pick up dry goods today.

I still need for my tank:
Lighting (2x 250W MH and 2x VHO ballasts and reflectors)
MORE salt
A sump if they are on sale or offered.
PH monitor.
2 pumps
All sorts of little (and big) things...
Anyone with experience with this sale, PLEASE, let me know if I should make the drive. Perhaps I'll talk to people that go today and decide whether or to head over on Sunday.

Just got back from Blue Sierra. They got some great livestock in for the sales and looked as if they stocked up on salt and the other dry goods. I got three deep water acro colonies using the buy 2 and get 1 free.

There where people lined up at 9:00am waiting for the store to open. Very popular place to be today.

Erik, I dont know what the sales are, most everything is 30% off. Just give them a call and see if what you want is on sale.

Well I made the drive and man was it worth it. They had the exact tank I was going to order from IAP for 25% off and I didn't have to wait six weeks to get it. My new 110gal with with black back and center stealth overflow will be in its new home tomorrow !! I have been planning this tank for almost two months now and it will be great to actualy have the tank here to get me inspired. Not to mention saving money was great.

Now I have to build the stand, canopy, sump ...
FYI I am on huge lighting search. I want to use 2X 250watt MH and 2X VHO acentic. If anyone has a line on great deals let me know.

Can't wait! Hopefully, in another eight weeks I will be posting pictures of the first inhabitants.

Those achilies did look great and I have always wanted one, but I have heard/read they don't do well. Anyone been housing one of these guys for a few years? The ones at Blue Sierra looked big and happy, but for that much cash I couldn't bare to loose one. Beautiful fish!

I think people must have been getting a little punchy Saturday just before closing (and I wasn't paying close enough attention). After getting back to Vashon, I discovered that my new lawnmower blenny appears to be a sand-sifting goby of some sort. Whoops!
