I was recently treating my hippo blue tang for ick in a quarintine tank but pulled him out before the he had full treatment because I couldn't get my biological filter under control. When I put him back in my big tank had still had a couple flecks on the top of his fin. This was about 2 weeks ago. He now shows no signs of ick, eats well and is active. I have to do some tank rearrangement soon and this would be a good time to catch him for quarintine. Should I treat him agian for ick even though he doesn't show any signs of it right now?

No All you well do is stress him out and tangs get ich easy enough as is. He has evedently settled in in your display tank and feels at home. A healthy fish in a good eviroment well kick ich on his own and it sounds like this one has done it. I probably would not add anymore fish for 3 or 4 weeks until you are sure things are good. I would leave him alone.

take fake food and rost it in the over on low with garilic stuff really any kind
spray a small amount a flake mix .dry
repeat 4 or 5 time
works well

look for one thread i wrote o week or 2 ago

The only problem I see is because you didn't complete treatment if there's ever a problem in your tank like a temp fluctuation, it's likely he'll break out again since you didn't eradicate the parasite from the tank. Also stress isn't a prerequisite for infection, healthy fish can become infected once exposed to this parasite.
