i am pretty sure that you are safe. matt just got one in his tank and i know that many others have one as well. what size tank do you have?

i have a pinktail in my tank and so far he hasnt touched anything. the only thing is that if you want to ad shrimp after he is established, you will want to either take the trigger out or put the shrimp in at night.

here is my pink tail, he is about 8"

Icehockey,

I had a blue throat and pinktail triggers in my 125 gallon tank and they were model citizens. They didnt bother anything--no corals, shrimps, inverts. You should be safe with either trigger.

I loved my pinktail trigger--it had personaility and would grunt when I would come near the tank.

I need to find a house and get out of corporate housing, fast. :D

I have a Sargassum. Watch your fingers when you feed them ;=) I have been bit twice, once on the inside of the arm, while re arraging corals and once on the finger. The blue Jaw is very similar, you will be fine with him.

Here ya go. Mine had a great personality!!!

I have a male/female combo and they haven't eaten anyone yet  They are with a pair of harlequin shrimp, a blood shrimp and a pair of cleaner shrimp. Mario at Ocean Reef has a M/F combo as well in his reef display and no problems. I know two other people with them in their reefs as well. One has a pair of model citizens and the other has a single male. He ate their coral banded shrimp but left the cleaner shrimp alone. I don't know if it was because he is a rouge, if he's lonely and bored or if the coral banded was asking for it. I think they are better in bigger tanks as a pair. IMO
