i dropped my refractometer into our water makeup container ive already taken it apart as much as i can to dry it out and then i set it on the outlet of our AC to try to get as much moisture out as i can but now when i try to use it the blue half slowly fades away to white in about 15 sec. whats happening? can this be fixed or am i back to the 80's with my old hydrometer

thanks for the bump GabyG it seems to be working now, now i just need to recalibrate it.
