I purchased this slimer months ago and it's finally branching off. I have to admit it was a very small frag no bigger than an inch. I have had this frag a little over 3 months and it has gotten no bigger than 2 inches high. It has gotten a huge base on it though (approx 1"wide) and now it's finally got branches sprouting everywhere. Can't wait until it's large enough to start fragging.

when it does start to grow outwards it's going to do so fast just due to the large base it's building. It should be a show piece..

It's been about a month so here is an update on the slimer growth. I haven't exactly been keeping the calcium up where it should be or I'm sure it would be much further along. I am still dosing and it's hard to keep up my tank sucks up the calcium. This pic is from last night with lights out. This is definately my favorite coral.

beautiful! Thanks for posting the progress pics I look forward to watching this one grow out. :)

This should have been my first post. This was a while back. I have moved this coral because the montipora behind it was encrouching on it.

Wow I want a piece now, my slimer is just a 4" tall stick with a 1/2" stick coming out the base as well. That thing's going to look like a Green Slimer-Birds Nest with all those branches!

well now i am wondering about a frag that i have..the guy told me it was a slimer, but i wasn't so sure...i have never seen a slimer that branches like that!!! mine has a 3" stalk and then a big cluster of branches at the top...i will get a pic tomorrow when the lights come on
