After meeting with Kevin from Brightwell and examining their products and reviews we have decided to bring on their line. They have some really exciting products that we feel will benefit local reefers. We will highlight some of these as time permits. Look for Brightwell Aquatics Products to arrive late next week!

You can learn more at www.brightwellaquatics.com

I'm looking to start using the MB7 product along side Filtra M from Elos. I've been watching a thread over on RC for several months now and think it's time to give Brightwell a try.

Having Chris for a meeting would actually get me to go too. Hopefully we can get him to come visit our humble city.

What is everyones opinion on there new salt? Will ppl be trying it?
I'm very curious to see if its close to the oceans water parameters!

Cy,

This is great as I was seriously considering starting this ULNS product line. Are you guys planning to bring in a potassium test kit too? Look forward to seeing it in the shop and talking to you guys about it.

As far as getting Chris out here to talk to PSAS....that would be great!

My understanding is that the salt is not available quite yet but will be soon. I ordered 80% of the line and we will give the salt a try as soon as its out. We should see the products either Wednesday or Thursday. As far as getting Chris out here, we will assist in any way possible. Ed...I heard you called but didn't get any clearer information than that. Just shoot me a PM or Email and let me know what I can do to help.

I just asked Chris! Cross your fingers!! I would love to see Cy and Tim or maybe work together to help both sides!;)

Hi Ed:)

I just sent an email to my contact at Brightwell expressing our desire to see Chris come out and do a PSAS meeting. I explained how successful the Reed Mariculture meeting was for their company. Hopefully, the PSAS will allow us to sponsor this meeting if it works out.

Hope it helps!

I think this only makes sense since you are the only store in WA that I know of that will be carrying this product line. I hope this happens.

Cy,
Every things helps. I appreciate you asking. Chris B wants to go steelheading if he comes out. Any help you want to donate to this would be awesome. I will pass this information on to the 2009 PSAS BOD. PSAS asked him (Chris Brightwell) to visit in November 2009. Chris B. will most likely get back with yeah or no soon. Nothing set in Stone! I have been pestering Chris B for quite awhile. Chemistry is very, very important to our hobby.
Cy, we need you guys. Anyone that says they can do the hobby without LFS is foolish. Thanks for being there.

Ed:)

So I see the Brightwell showed up today. Nice packaging.

The only bummer is that my 5 gallon buckets of MB7 and Bio Fuel didn't show.

I can't wait to start hearing the local reviews of these products.

So, who's first? I know Apollo got a free sample of the MB7 and was pretty happy with results when I spoke with him.

Started using koral color a few days ago, haven't seen any negative affects like algae growth. Will see what it does in a few weeks.

Also, picked up a bottle of vitamarin-c. Had success with dosing vit c the past few months, so I figured this would be a better alternative to crushing tablets.

Were you using the Vit-c for zoanthids or the overall tank. I guess I don't know the benefits of Vit-c. Can you explain?

I was using Vit-C for overall coral health, not really targeting one specific type. From what I have read Vit-C's antioxidant properties is supposed to help improve the immune system of corals and aid in repairing tissue and preventing bacterial infections etc. The nice thing about the Vitamarin-C is that it is buffered to not drop PH or dKH.

Brightwell is here and ready to go. Made a call to learn more about the salt. It is available but our distributor is out. They are getting more very soon. Once they have it we will bring in a little so that you guys can try it out.
