Oh I am liking this thread. It got me eager to take more pictures of my Maroon Clowns. So I took a few shots tonight ... Kevin, sorry to hear about your clown That is sad. I hope you will get your male a mate one day again.
I need to join in on this one. My wife hates my clowns, they breed all of the time and doesn't like my raising the young. I think she is jealous of them. I pay more attention to them than the other fish.
Yeah, they are sebaes. I have two of them that they see as their two homes. no preferences for one or the other. In addition, my wife sees them as bullies that beat everyone else up.
Uwscotch,
Sorry I got your name wrong last time. I had a Sebae and my clowns could have cared less that it was around. I found them a Rose BTA and only one (the female) lives in it. Time will tell if she allows him into it or not.
We love our clowns regardless of your wifes opinion about them.

right on. They have sooo much personality. My clowns took the Sebaes after about 1 month. Now I can't even chase them out of them. I hand feed my anenomes once a week with ocean plankton and just for fun, have caught them with my hand. They will not leave and infact try to beat my hand up. They especially dislike my ring. That appears to be what they attack the most. I get a little worried about their slime coat when the do try to kill my hand. It can't be good for them to be handled. I'm sure your female will let her partner in eventually. I would love to get a rose-bubble anenome. A little out of my price range.
Uwscotch,
You never know mine may split one day and I will be posting it here on RF for trades or sale. I am currently causing her stress and feel awful for it. But many say that stress causes them to split. I am setting up a larger tank and had to get the help of others to care for some of my inhabitants but the fishes and the anemone are currently living in their "vacation home" (a 25 gallon quarantine/hospital tank) until their new and improved home is installed and the finishing touches are in (only a 180). Patience is the name of the game I keep reminding myself.

And here's mine. She is about 9-10 months old. She used to have quite a hard time living together with my Velvet Damsel (who thinks he's the king of the hill, well he might be on to something since he was first fish in tank, so he's oldest and biggest fish). But now she's getting back at him and he starts to respect her .
Reefer ... I went to your gallery. When the large one is up there, I right clicked and chose properties. That will tell you the URL to the JPG file ... I copied that URL, came back here and used the IMG tags with that URL and it worked like a charm
So I have to show off my clown too but can't figure out how to get the pic on my post. You can see it by going to "Member Galleries". I am at the bottom of page 2 "SeattleFishGirl". Not sure if it is a male or female Maroon Clown. We have a hard time getting it to come out of it's anenome so we can feed it. If we try to feed the anenome with the fish in it then the fish steals the anenome's food. Any suggestions?
GGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! I have a HUGE fear of clowns....Paul - I will now have to sleep with the lights on for a few days!! And, sheesh, could you at least post a happy looking clown, and not one that gives me panic attacks??
