I always thought bristle worms were good for a system.
till today.

i ve purchased nassurios snails in the past put them in my tank.they disapeared, found empty shells.

today i purchased nassurios snails put them in my sump.
i know ive got a bunch of worms in there didnt think they would bother them, kinda took them as a cleaner crew.
a couple hours later i noticed a worm stretched out from a piece of rock and was attacking the snail.

so now what do i do is there a fish that eats bristle worms.
ive been in this hobby for 18 yrs have seen quite a bit and i did remember reading about these worms but always thought they were good.

I got a sixline wrasse in my tank and he's on a mission to get those bristle worms but they can do so much unless you get a big sixline. Another fish you could try is a twin-spot hogfish, there like wrasses also. There's all kind of wrasses out there and some does the job. Maybe some other people here will post and tell you. I got a sixline in my 40 and so far I think he's doing a good job. During the day he comes out always swimming around the rocks looking for worms and stuff. I think there are other kinds of hogfish also that will do it. Look into it.

I added a arrow crab to my tank a few years ago and it seemed to cut down the bristle worm population.

OK If you like them.

Hi Swissgaurd I have both Leopards and a Sixline all in diffrent tanks 1 st question do you have a sand bed? You will need that for the Leopard.
What size is your tank? My Personal opion you need at least a 40" long tank for the Leopard.
As for worm hunters and eaters the Six line has a little edge But I like them Leopards...Good luck ...Jeff

I have a melenarus wrasse, I used to have bristle worms pretty good. Since I got him and went bare bottom I have to hunt really hard to find any.

Those great pics! Good job! There you go swissguard...even a yellow watchman goby will eat and I didn't even know that.

Yes & Yes

Yes I have them in 2 of my tanks with Cleaner Shrimp - Lysmata amboinensis, Fire Shrimp - Lysmata debelius,Peppermint Shrimp - Lysmata wurdemanni, and 2 diffrent Pistol Shrimp (Assorted) - Synalpheus species and the Leopards leave them all alone, Well mine do go to the Cleaner Shrimp - Lysmata amboinensis and submit to be cleaned on rare occasions But I belive they would rather be cleaned by my Gold Neon Goby - Gobiosoma randalli.
Hope this helps...Jeff

Yea the shots Cheeks 69 took were awsome I too am a fan of the watchman gobys I belive they are alot Braver than the Yasa Hase Gobies.
Vic That 82 would be great for a Leopard just remember If you want more than one put them in all at once Or the older one will Try to kill the newbie..
