brown spots on yellow tang

i am under the assumption that this is a parasitic worm not a fungus. would a freshwater dip be best to remove this. the fish has no other signs of stress.

Are they little spots or brown patches? Picture available?

Tiny spots could be Turbellarian worms aka "black ich" Brown patches would be most likely from less than good water conditions. If worms, formilin dips can be effective.

Unable to provide any answer or guidance unless we know a lot more about what it is you are seeing. Can you post pictures that clearly indicate what it is you're looking at?

they are brown patches... no pics right now...
