Bubble coral & frogspawn placement

Speaking of long stringy things, I was watching my bubble coral last night and it's behavior was bizarre. It's mouth was open and it was releasing these things that looked like hair. After they grew to a certain length, he would release them and they would float away. Is this his waste system or what???!!!!

I am very envious OmarD. My hammerhead has not been growing nor has it put out one of those long stringy things that it used to have. I am not sure why.

Could you suggest something?
