without microscope it look like a tiny little black spec that moves. Thought it was black bugs, but it doesn't look like the black bugs I am seeing online. This thing just looks like a little shell with legs.

Ive got a couple things in my tank that havent been id yet to. But ive never seen a lul black shell with legs. Sounds like a bad thing. Good luck.

yeah anything with a coat of armour like that.....but then again maybe they are not prolific.

I'd guess ostracod too. It looks a little like a barnacle larva, but I'd think that's very unlikely. I don't have any experience with aquarium ostracods, but ostracods in general tend to be filter feeders like copepods.
