Bugs

My new tank has been up and running for a little over a month with LR. This morning I turned on the lights and saw what looked like bugs sactter everywhere. Two the size of a tick or lady bug and many little tiny ones that either scurried very quickly around.

What kind of critters should I be seeing that are good and/or bad?

Good job IDGY! Your tank is maturing, those are different kinds of pods and are all very good!
Part of the flora and fauna that allows our tanks to do what they are supposed to.

Well I'd imagine it's a copepod/amphipod population, and they are good.

This is a second tank I started 30 gallon. So, I am glad to know that it is on the right track. My main tank is 60 gallons and I have never noticed this kind of activity in my main tank.

If you don't want bugs in your tank I'll take them off your hands for you.
