bugs!

Ahh...I have bugs in my sandbed! They look like tiny ants, But as soon as I turn on the lights, they scatter. Should I be worried? They are way too small to take a picture.

Probably amphipods nothing to worry about they are a sign of a healthy tank.

yes, the time to worry is when you DON'T see anything like this running around in your tank.

for sure seeing signs like that means that you tank is doing well. I had the same reaction when I first saw them in my old 55 and I got the same reactions in my thread as well. If I am not mistaken depending on what you have in your tank they can make a nice little snack for your fish and stuff.

as skimer said "love your bugs" if you didn't have any then it would be time to panic for sure lol

if you put a shell against the front of your tank the'll hide there and you can observe them, usualy in groups.
