even tho we stress waterchange,

isnt to much bad?

ive bin water changeing every day, if not every other,

I guess it depends, but where everything will be coming out of the tank (all livestock), and I don't have too much to lose in my rock,I think I may just do the 100% waterchange, add back in the rocks I wanted that were boiled, and let the tank cycle all over again pretty much from scratch. I'll decide though.:)

 Wow. You sure you did not get up in the middle of the night drugged up from medicine and pour the babies milk bottle in it?

Sorry to hear that Krish, but look on the bright side........you didn't have your yellow tang anymore, so it didn't have to go through this!!!!!

Hmm... You know, I never thought of that  (LOL)

LOL! True! Always thinking about those tangs huh Ron:p

Well, I got a call from my buddy Curt tonight and I agree totally with what he said. Seems to be a bacterial bloom caused from the corals that died why the tank looks cloudy now and possibly why the clown jumped looking for air. While I was talking to him, the other clown was swimming near the top trying to get air as well, but thankfully now, he is in another tank. So...I'm going to see how it goes. I'll let things ride for now seeing all of the corals look good, polyps are out etc and decide what I will do from here over the next few days. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for all the feedback:)

I can not believe a couple little polyps destroyed your water like that.

Krish,

Sorry to hear of your tank man. I know these tanks are what we find so much peace in.

I had a similar problem as far as my clown. Maybe clowns have some telepathy and when yours found out mine jumped to it death a couple weeks ago it just couldn't take it and decided to do the same. I am sure they are on some little white anenome cloud up there drinking some cool Atlantinis or some Baymeister and probably watching us struggle to mimic mother nature.

I love this hobby. Good luck and I am sure with all the great advise that you offer luck is on your side now and things will get much better.

take care

Good luck

Yep! That's what happens with tanks with small water volumes. You sure you still want to downgrade?(LOL)

LOL! There must be a lot of dead clowns flying on these anemone clouds today because it is completely overcast here and pouring rain! (LOL)Thanks for the kind wishes:)

As for the tank, nice and clody this morning again. The skimmer is still pumping out a fill cup of stink water every 12 hours or so. I may bite the bullet and do a 100% water change, but I want to see first if it will be necessary. I've aready done 50% so far. We'll see:)

Update...

The tanks seems to be making a turn for the best. I came home today and it was 50% clearer. Almost like how your tank would look right after a water change before it had a chance to settle completely. I figured by the rate it is going now, by tomorrow afternoon, the tank should almost be perfectly clear. If so, I'll do a water change then and change the carbon once more and resume my photoperiod once again and see how it goes. I'll keep you guys posted:)

I'll post a pic later, but the tank looked like it didn't have any water in it this morning because it was so clear:) I turned back on the timer for the lights so I will see what things look like when I get home after work. :)

cool...glad to hear it is doing well!!!!!!!! now get some more corals and start again!!!!

Good to hear things are going better. When bad things like this happen it usually makes you question why you bother with this headache in the first place. Fortunately I always snap out of it in a few days.

just to catched up with this tread,,sorry to hear about your tank,,always try it again,,we 're with you .

Thanks Dang! Atleast I didn't lose too much:)

LOL! Yeah, it gets like that sometimes, but it's worth staying in the hobby for the times things go well:)

now when do we start the 75

LOL! Neva!:D I was supposed to post some pics of the tank tonight so everyone could see how clear it got, but my dad came in town for the day so I've been entertaining since. I'll get some tomorrow, but it is back to normal. I just need to put back in some fish (my clown and maybe another fish) to keep the bacteria that is living in my rocks alive:)
