stand looks great! i think the chiller will do ok there as long as there is room behind for air to escape. the chiller has its own fan right? the only thing i would do is raise the chiller up a couple inches or more. this is no diferent then a refrigerator or an air conditioner they need the coils to stay clean and room to move air across the condenser (which is hidden inside the louvered area)

I agree with this 100% , just raise it a couple of inches. The frag/QT idea is great.

Thanks everyone! I looked at it again this morning and it just looks too bulky there so I'm thinking on either finishing it off as you would a regular stand and put a tank on it somewhere else (for frags) or putting it in the baby's room to put a TV on or something. It looks like too much is going on over there by the tank. We'll see how it goes though...:)

LOL...Still not sure again:lol: My friend says to slide the whole thing over a few inches and put a 6ft tank on it instead of my 75gal(LOL) You don't put ideas like that into my head:p I will spend some more time with it tonight to see if the chiller runs any more in the cabinet than with it off and also, if I think I will like the overall look. I plan to re-work my skimmer tonight so I'll be right there to check on it. I'll let you guys know later on the outcome...I seem to change my mind more than a woman!

agree, the fan should not be an issue as long as you have enough air flow around the coils. there will not be much of a difference having the chiller on the floor or in the cabinet with the front and back open as long as the louvers are facing out. as someone else said it would be like a fridge next to a wall and a cabinet. I also like the idea of having a qt, fuge or frag tank there as well. krish , you did a nice job on the cabinet.:D

Thanks steve! I think I will end up using it afterall. I will just check things tonight to see if it cuts in anymore which I honestly doubt because nothing is really different. The front and back are still open... All that is left is a little formica!;)

No change with the chiller's temp or how much it cuts in so I decided to keep and use the cabinet. I will be swamped for the rest of the week, so I just dropped off the cabinet to the guy who did all of my cabinets in my house for him to formica and stain on the inside. I should get it back on Saturday:)

Hey Krish you could raise it level with the bottom of the front framing, this may allow more air from the front, you could see the whole thing so It may lookie better also, just a thought from someone who can't tell for sure what it exactly looks like :)

"Dem people gern vit alla yunna money!" In english this is what it means...
Those people went with all of your money!
