What brand of calcium, alkalinity, magnesium supplement does everyone use. I'm almost out of Bulk reef supply 2 part and was looking so recommendations. I want to try a powder this time not liquid. Let's here what you use and why. Thank you.

Maybe I am just lucky but my 75g stays balanced with regular water changes. A couple of years ago I was adding suppliments to try and balance the 3 out, but once I just let it go, it balanced itself out and stays that way. It is a mixed reef. Starting on an 125 upgrade :)

I have been using dri-z-air for calcium, arm and hammer baking soda for alk, and Epsom salt for mag. I placed an order from bulk reef supply for Calcium Chloride. I am going to keep using the baking soda and epsom salt for alk and mag.

If you search posts made by "Boomer", there are several good threads on the subject:

I use C-balance... only because it's what I started using and things seem to be workin' just fine. I'm a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" type of guy.

All two-parts, Randy's, BRS, B-Ionic and C-Balance etc., are all "wet" / lquid. What is it you are saying, you want to dump dry powder in the tank ?

Well I would like to measure what I'm putting in my tank dry then add water to it before I add it to my tank. I'm using the 2 part liquid stuff now but don't feel like I'm really sure how much I'm dosing. I feel like it would be a little more accurate. Boomer what's your fav?

I drip Kalkwasser for my top off and that pretty much keeps my alk and calcium in balance alk is between 8-9 and calcium hovers between 400-450 and I dose mag. which is between 1250-1350 once a week and honestly I havn't tested for PH in a Looooonnng time but I'm assuming all is well just by observing my specimens. Those were my last numbers from a little over a month ago but it seems like everytime I do test it is in those areas. I myself hate testing my water because it makes me want to mess with my tank more just to try to get it to the magic number. So now I just do a visual check and if nothing looks out of wack I leave the tank alone.

Man I wish I didn't have to add anything to my tank. I'm curious to know what your corals look like when there in need of calc or alk?
