From the replies i have seen here and other forums, it seems to be a consensus that salinity probles/monitors are fairly unreliable and need constant calibration for any accuracy.

Does the same hold true for Calcium monitors? If not, what brand/model do you recommend?

Thanks
Kirk

Not at all; there really is no such thing as a Calcium Monitor; there are Calcium probes but they are for taking readings; an attempt to use one continuously would leave you with a dead probe.

ok, so I ammend my original question to probes.

Any good Ca probes?

the only one I know of is PinPoint.

There is one from PinPoint and I have one from American Marine. It's OK but a real pain to use since you need to calibrate each use so I hardly ever use it anymore.

Besides PinPoint and American Marine, are they ANY other players in this market??

Scooty,

There was a review done and I got what I needed from Boomer's forum.

In short, save your money and use the test kits.
:)
