Schuran makes two hobbiest reactors that are both very efficient, the pico I would say is to small you would be filling it every few days. The larger would work fine but needs to be fed with a peristaltic pump. This turn off alot of people due to the cost, but the build quality is fantastic. Another down side is the US availability of parts if needed.
Right now geo's seem to be the hot item in reactors. My only gripe with geo is they are not efficient and size does matter so you need a bigger one for a bigger tank.
If I needed a reactor for a tank that size I would buy a deltec. You wont touch their efficiency. You wont have to buy a huge reactor and even the smaller ones hold quite a bit of media. With the deltecs you are paying for the design not the build quality. IMO they are subpar and sort of flimsy but I doubt it will fall apart so not a big deal.
Then you have the real cheap stuff like the octo. These compared to deltec, schuran and geo are garbage. The efficiency is very low and the build quality is below subpar, not something I would even concider for a long term investment.
Hope this helps
