CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

This month we are bringing back the PSAS Home Aquarium "Tank Tour". We would like to include 6 to 8 stops on the tour between Tacoma and Everett and not more than 10 miles east of Issaquah. Unfortunately, time constraints will not allow us to go over to the Narrows to the Gig Harbor or Bremerton areas. The tour will be held on Saturday May 15th.

Explaination of the Event:

We will meet up at a specific location and then "car caravan" to our first scheduled stop at approximately10am. We will stay at this stop for 30 to 45 minutes and then proceed to our second location. The group will bounce from Home to Home throughout the day. Somewhere around 1pm we will try and visit the Tamarind Thai restuarant in Redmond where the owner/member (Dang) keeps a 180 Reef tank. Dang will offer some sort of lunch special to our group.

After lunch we will proceed to the next locations and complete the tour. This will be a six to eight hour event if you complete the entire tour. Completing the tour is not however a requirement. You may join or depart at any time during the tour.

So the 1st order of business is to gather some volunteers to be our destinations for this event. I will be coordinating the event so please email me if you are interested in opening up your home or business to 30 to 60 club members for a brief viewing of your system. "[email protected]" Include your telephone numbers in this email as I will want to call each of you as part of the process.

This was an extreamly popular event two years ago, so with all of our new members this year's Tour should be Great!

Sounds like fun, so does this mean that the bbq and elections will be that day also? I am going to be out of town on the 8th, but will be back on the 15th and am looking forward to this.

Tom:

The BBQ was postponed as we are NOT going to take the summer off this year and thought that we would stand a better chance of having good weather if we had this later in the summer. 6 to 8 hours of tank tour is enough for one day.

As far as the elections go we had them at the last meeting. Sorry if there was any confussion.

You know folks...you don't have to have a 500 gallon in-wall tank with all the latest technology to host on the tank tour. ;) We all like to look at all kinds of tanks and I know you all have to be a little proud of your piece of the ocean.

I'd host but well..... my tank still has dust in it.

AHH the old election Switcheroo.........LOL. It is the political season. Just kidding ya know. Paul I guess you need to post the club officers.

I would...

I would like to volunteer for the tour. I have got a 29 gallon three month old tank. The problem is parking. I have an apartment in downtown Bellevue. Anyways, if I can help let me know.

Hmm yeah I'd think about volunteering, then maybe my tank isn't too good yet ;( Oh and the space, that could be an issue. Ill get back to you paul. - Ilham
