Yea your right, they do have some or most of the same control, I guess I meant just not as good control functions as the oldies lol. I wish I had more exposure control on mine, also wish I had better control over all, your right though, I do have most of these features but they aren't cut & dry using them, speed of shooting in manual mode seems slower.

The new Canon digital SLR only go to 100 ISO up to 1600 on my 300D. The 10D go to 3200 ISO.
I am getting a book so I will let you guys know.

I just have the issue of reading the manual and can do most of what I want to, But after a little while and setting change and I can't remember what to do so I have to re read. I hope some of this will stick with me. To bad you guys live so far away.

Still reading the new book or users guide by shortcourses.com and it seems to be helpful but may have to read it a couple of times.
