Can a leaking Fluval 406 be repaired?

Hello! Yesterday I set up a brand new tank at a local elementary school. They are going to be raising salmon for release at out local stream. (I have all the necessary permits for this, dont worry) But when I went to set everything up, the Fluval 406 filter began leaking out the bottom. Its a slow drip, but disconcerting none the less. So I took it all apart and noticed a hairline crack in one of the corners (right above the leak obviously)

Im doubtful of a silicone patch. But something that could melt the plastic back together might work. Acrylic glue maybe?
Im wondering if anyone knows of a way to repair or a place to get a cheap replacement base. Please help! We are on a tight schedule to get the tank cycled before the eggs arrive in January.

JB Weld makes a great 2-part epoxy for marine/submerged use. I've used it to repair the housing on an external pump, so I'm sure it could withstand a canister filter's pressure.

E6000 is wat I use. Gotta let it cure 24-48hrs if not longer.
U can get it at Michaels fabrics.

I have used both products on acrylic tanks for repairs and they work excellent. I am positive on a canister filter they will do the job. Nice to see you around RF again!

BTW, back in the day I did the same set up for a school in conjunction with the department of game. The kids will love this project!
