ohhh hmmmmmmmm interesting question... isnt more expensive?? or am i loosing my mind :) hahaha

the chlorination could seep maybe??? I have no idea... just stabbing in the dark here :D Hopefully some expert will come along and poke holes in all my guestimations!

I had bought some to use in a reactor build, and Mojo raise his eyebrow about the use of it.
I know it is used in home building for potable water. But for reefs???

I 'm sure it would be fine. I know it is safe for both hot and cold potable water. From my understanding is that CPVC is designed for a higher temperature range than PVC. The additional C in the name signifies an additional chlorine atom in the monomer.

Since the extra chlorine makes the plastic a little stiffer and melt at a higher temperature, it's probably better than PVC for reef plumbing.

Cheers,
Alex
