can i buy water wholesale?

does anyone know where i might be able to have ocean water delivered from? i need about 400 gallons and i need to see if it would be any easier that way. i live about 5 miles from the pacific so i would think that someone would do something like that.

Welcome to the site. Delivered ocean water sounds like a pretty obscure market. Doubtfull that it would be much cheaper than buying Instant Ocean in 160 gallon buckets at Petco or deliverd from Dr Fosters. Less chance of getting polution in your tank that way.

well the cheapest way for us to get saltwater up here in the seattle area is to go to the seattle aquarium and get it from there for 5 cents a gallon maybe there is a possibility your local aqauarium/zoo does this too..

Try Catalina Water - they are located in Long Beach I think. According to their web site this is their service area right now - service area extends from San Diego to San Bernardino to Ventura counties, Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona.

Here it is but other places it's almost like having bottled water delivered. They'll come in and drain your tank down and replace it with fresh ocean water and it's relatively inexpensive from what I've read.
