here are the trail shots. bare in mind that i'm using a beginner lens which is 18-105mm VR so the quality may not be that good. I did not modify anything just pull it out straight from the camera.

With the VR lens you don't really need a tripod but it definatly helps!

Both look great but the brightness is much much better in the "preset manual mode".
