Hey guys, need a little help here. I have been researching tons of info about using activated carbon for reef systems have decided to get a media reactor. While looking at products it does not state the appropriate tank size so I am worried I might get one too small or inadequate for my reefing desires. I may be overthinking this but better safe then sorry right. So my question is what reactor (will be using for carbon, maybe GFO) do I need to take care of a 100G display, 50G sump? Here are the two I have been looking at.

Another thing to consider is that you don't have to fill the reactor up with activated carbon.

I use the BRS dual reactor for using carbon and GFO at the same time.

Thanks tike, calculator really helped me out!

mfinn, I noticed some of the reactors say that they can be used with carbon, GFO, and "biopellets" (not sure about using all three at the same time). Have you ever used biopellets in a reactor? Or do have an opinion on whether they are good/bad?

Many swear by them. I have not used biopellets.
I stick with live rock, a skimmer,a refugium and occasional use of carbon and gfo
