i have two goldbar maroon clowns in my 155 (that i got from trido thank you very much) along with a school of chromis (5) and a scribbled rabbit fish what i want to know is if the maroons will host carpet anemones i have never heard that they wont but havent found anything that really said they would either though just wanted to know and yes i know it really depends on the fish but have you ever seen them host a carpet thanks

That may be the longest sentence I have ever read.

As for the maroons, I do not believe the carpet is a natuarl host. Sometimes they will eventually host but there are also types of carpets that will eat the clowns...

I've seen a pic of a Maroon clown being hosted by a Hells fire anemone, so its certainly possible. Whether or not they will before your carpet eats alot of your fish is another matter....

The only time I've seen Maroon's in a carpet, it was a mated pair in a HUGE carpet. The female GSM was close to 6"!! On the other side of the carpet, was a mated pair of pink skunk clowns. The GSMs allowed them to share. It was pretty cool. BTA and RBTA are the natural hosts of Maroons.

Sure its possible. I think this could be an interesting tank. Pair of evil maroon clowns, a carpet nem and a school of cromis. The possibilities of what could go on in there is endless. I could see the gsm's puling the chromis into the carpet if they end up hosting it. I've seen that happen before and it is just an evil thing to see!
