I have an Aquanetics controller - tonight it is reading 90 when tank tempature is 79. Is this a probe issue or device? Is it possible to tell without additional testing or part swapping?

I would clean the probe throughly first, check all connections, then last resort replace the probe. Did you call the manufacturer, If not Do that first then as mentioned.

Your best guess - if unit electronics seem fine probe is issue?
