clam fell from rock, left muscle foot

my clam fell from my rock and left his foot behind. will it grow back? seems okay, still reacts when there is a shadow. should i do anything in precaution? thanks

Nope. It'll most likely be fine. I've found them floating around before and they grow back.

Finally found a pic of a discarded foot. The second pic was quite a while after it fell off.

ive always found in my experience that if the foot goes, the rest of the clam dies... keep a very close eye on it over the coming days... if it becomes a buffet for your crabs, snails, shrimp, etc.... pull it... good luck

looks good last night, dosed some aquacultured copepod liquid and opened his mantle even more.
