clam help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I am new to this and I put this thread in the wrong place! I am not sure what the white sack looking stuff which looks to be turning tan and feels soft yet hard like leather please if someone could help identify what this is and if its going to harm the maxima or not? I have done a little research and the closest I have come up with would be an overgrowing mat tunicate T. Solidum but my wife on the other hand thinks it has to do with the blue polyps!? She thinks its blue octocoral reproducing. I am most concerned about my clam!!Thanx for any advise or help much appreciated if i need to post more pics please let me know

I think it's a form of sponge or tunicate, nothing to be too concerned about. If the clam is easily removed, you could remove it from the tank and clean it off with a toothbrush. Otherwise, as long as it's not overgrowing the clam, it's not causing any harm.

thanx for the reply so fast! thats what i thought also some type of tunicate but what about the blue coral should i save it or leave everything as it were? again thank you

or clove polyps could be those too - either way, dont appear to be bad to me either!
