Clarkii fry

Ilham,

2 requests. First, could you post the age of the fry (10 days?). Second, could you post pictures of Clarkina and the male?

Thanks,

Phil

The photos up there are Day 14 fry taken today April 3 about 1:00 PM PST

Here's a photo of the parents on Dec 4, 2004:

Clarkina is facing to the right, Mushboy is facing towards you.

Congrats, you must be a proud papa. I have a preg male orange stripe cardinal, I imagine the fry will be lunch in no time :(

Wow! Congrats! Keep updating the pics so we can see them grow. Too cool!

Very exciting Ilham. I must add, I've always loved that torch in the second pic.

Thank you again all. I took a couple pictures from day 17. Most have stripes now, and at night they sleep is separate groups of about 10-15 or so.
The pics are big :( but would be easier to see them.

Well I do have that medium sized clarkii all alone downstairs....    While I would love to have a grand-fish, I'm so afraid it will turn out like it's mother....  They are sooooo cute!

Hey Elmo,

Looks like they are growing up quickly! I had some quick question for you:

1) How do you move the eggs from the parents tank, or do you wait until they hatch to move them?
2) Where do you get your food to feed them? (Rotifiers?)

I have a mated pair of false percs that have been laying eggs for the last 2 years but I have been to lazy to try to raise the fry. Also my percs lay the eggs on the glass or sometimes on the leather coral they host in. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

One Month old (Day 30), about 50-60 alive. All at least half-inch. Still working...on the other clowns. A bit of bad luck hit me...
