Classified Link is missing

I'll move your post, to the Feedback and Suggestions Forum, and have that looked into. I know we had an issue with the Settings Tab missing. It could be that Scott is working on it, right now.

I thought I was going blind this morning. I finally went to the home page and clicked classifieds.

If you look at the navigation box on the home page it is there at the bottom.
We're working to fix these issues and a few more with internet explorer. These server upgrades and patches are caused by Hackers and then the patches changes certain requirements that causes issues!

It is at the bottom of the list in the navigation box.... I have never used that one so did not know it was there - always used the one at the top of the page... Thanks....

We had major security issues, our software was so out dated and hardware was getting old. To resolve these issues we basically had to rebuild the site and somehow managed to keep the forum content. It wasn't easy and to date still causing database issues but rather loose everything and starting over clean we felt keeping everything we could would be better. Every security threat forces more patches and updates and with our combination it causes issues, In most cases this isn't an issue with other forums, we're just lucky that way! I will resolve as much issues as I can but it takes time as always.

I didn't know that was why we had to have the new format but it does make me appreciate it a lot more. Thanks for all your hard work and keeping all our info on here I find it really useful to be able to go back and check up on old threads and messages.

I have to say, I was hoping that the old sales forum was being reopened when I saw the classifieds section missing. I've found that the classifieds aren't that user friendly and the member usage is very low.

Our intent isn't to have a high member usage, in the classifieds, as the intent of Reef Frontiers is not primarily as a place to buy/sell/trade. This has been discussed, at length, MANY TIMES, since about a month prior to the upgrade. The upgrade was required, to keep Reef Frontiers running. It was either upgrade, or shut it down.

The upgrade came with quite a few bugs, inherent in moving all of the old data over to the new format. Unfortunately, new bugs have recently popped up. They are being worked on, as quickly as possible. Scooterman is the primary person, working on fixing the bugs. Scooterman is a busy man, let's give him a bit of patience and support, while he deals with this, please.

Yes, the classified link was missing, before that, the Settings link was missing. Let's please keep this thread on track, and not go off on a tangent about things that have already been thoroughly discussed, long ago.

Logging in for me now consists of all of the post's texts being centered rather than left justified and pm's are right justified. When I saw it for the first time, I wondered what the heck was going on because it kinda looks wierd. This is one thing they are working on, but to be honest, I don't really care if it is fixed on my end or not. Yea, I rather the posts to show up how they did initially and would love for it to be resloved, but if it doesn't then it's whatever with me. It's not preventing me from doing anything I did before so I'm just adjusting as the changes are made.

Having a life and running a forum is very time consuming, thanks to the staff we can have both. We want more for the forum and will get there, even with the setbacks we will continue to improve and move forward.

Ok, thousands of lines of code and I think I got the text justification straightened out! Well, lets hope so!

I'm using IE 8 right now, FYI this wasn't an issues with Firefox. As I get time I'll do what I can.

Hey Krish, how is the active members list? It is still messed up on this end with iexplorer on my computers.

When I checked the computer a few mins ago, yea it was still messed up. Away from the computer now till about noon so I wouldn't be able to check it again till then.

The earlier problem, with things being centered or left hand justified, that weren't normally, was an IE only issue. There was also an issue, that was IE only, that related to the PM windows looking all screwy.

The current issues are related to something entirely different, so will effect all browsers. I'd imagine, with the security patches being put out, by Vbulletin, and the way they're kind of screwing up the forum, Scooty's pulling what hair he has left, out! lol

For now, the classified are can still be accessed, from the Home Page. On the right hand side of the Home Page, there's a Navigation area. Classifieds is towards the bottom of that area.
